Mexico》California》Arizona

Never would I have thought I would be able to Travel to the West Coast before I graduated, but I did! It was the best experience ever. Me being a native Floridian, I never understood why people thought it was such a big deal to take pictures of everything. I loved being in some place new.
First we started off in Arizona, which was amazing. The sun was always shining and there wasnt a cloud in the sky when I was outside at the pool. The heat is very different than the sticky-humid heat over here on the East Coast. I never realized how much culture there was just within America and just outside of its boundaries.

I was most excited about bargaining with the shop owners. I found that if you told them that you saw the same thing around the corner for a cheaper price than what they had they would instantly try to accommodate you so that they made a sale. They also after they get the money from you they bless their money doing the whole cross over body thing then saying thank you while looking up. You would never find that kind of true religion in America unless it was also mom needs pop shop with people from out of the country that run the buisness. But then I went to a little shops on the side of the road in the Market area and they will get very close and their version of personal. They will even grab your ankle in order to make you stay longer at the shop and buy it. I was taken a back especially when one of the 50 plus sum man wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my cheek. It was really weird lol. Then as the day went on whilst shopping and such I went to another little shop and this woman was way too pushy with trying to sell me stuff. And she began to speak in Spanish to the vendor next to her and talk cap about me. Lucky me I knew my profane Spanish words and understood her and just walked away.
But other Than those 2 weird things in Mexico I actually liked it. I grew to respect the culture just being there for less than 7 hours. I enjoyed mexico very much. Mind you the city of Mexico I went to was right on the border to California.

Now California was amazing. So much that I'm thinking about moving there after I graduate high school. I visited San Diego and I only spent a night therebut I stayed practically on the coast. The hotel was so beautiful. It was restored and added to, to make it more suitable for more guests staying in the area likemyself. When we got out of the car I instantly wanted to go run to the beach and put my feet in the sand. Walking down the street was more like trying to figure out how to balance your self so you didn't go tumbling down the sidewalk. I was not expecting hills lol

Then I also realized I couldn't just walk from the street to the beach without falling off the side. High cliffs lined over the shore creating shade in some parts on the Beach. It was amazing to look at from below and above. It was so different than Florida beaches. Very very different. I ended up going down to laJolla cove not too far from the hotel and walked right up to seals and went into the cove. It was truly mesmerizing. Though me almost slipping on the rocks was not so mesmerizing. Haha

After getting some sleep that night I went to this really cool looking breakfast place just around the corner called "Codys". I ended up ordering their blueberry pancakes. And lemmetell you..they were delicious! The coolest thing about the place was the decor. The wafter bottles werected made of glass and we're stained different colors that made it look like it was chipped in red, blue, and etc. Then they had a fire place with a chalk board above it with a quote. Now I don't know exactly if they change it from time to time or weekly but I really liked the one they had up that day. For a while there it was my background. Later that day we headed back to Arizona. Not much to do in yuma, arizona by the way lol. Did you know roadrunners are real?? Because I didn't until I was sitting outside on the porch and saw one run by the house. I was so confused because I had never seen one before! Ah it was so cool.

I definitely recommend going to la Jolla cove, California if you are on that side of the states and have never been before.
